The Primary Suite
This is where it all started. We turned the home's former "bonus room" into a bedroom, bathroom and closet. But first it took removing popcorn ceilings and paneling, tearing down and then rebuilding walls.

The Living Room
After finishing the bedroom, we moved on to the formal living room. We ditched the avocado green carpet and--most noticeably--most of the wall dividing it from the den.

The Den
We then moved to the other side of the wall and worked on the den. After removing all the dark paneling and popcorn ceilings, we added fresh drywall, new flooring, and a fresh coat of warm white paint.

The Kitchen
The kitchen screamed '70s, with plaid wallpaper, orange appliances, linoleum flooring, and a 7-foot ceiling. Before we could tackle the aesthetics, we had to tuck all the plumbing up inside the ceiling joists to gain our missing foot. We also ditched the big bay window, opting for a smaller one for more counter space.
